One of the great untruths in the abortion debate is the notion that pro-life people only care about the child in the womb and do nothing for pregnant women or for their children once born.

The fact is, pro-life people expend large amounts of time and money to address the social and economic needs of pregnant women and their children, before and after birth.

Nationally, over 3,000 pregnancy-help centers are operated, staffed and funded by pro-life people. These centers provide or facilitate housing, instructional programs, provision of maternity and baby clothes, furniture and other necessities, adoption through licensed agencies, parenting classes, job training, medical care including pregnancy testing, prenatal and obstetrical care, social services, including counseling, arrangement for transportation, child health care, assistance in applying for financial help before and after the birth, including the WIC (Women, Infants, Children) program, Medicaid, and child support. And all of this is provided without one cent of government funds.

There are 29 pro-life pregnancy-help centers that will provide or facilitate the above services for Nebraska. Those centers are listed below in alphabetical order by city:
