LB 675 gives a mother an opportunity to see an ultrasound of her baby prior to having an abortion. Introducer: Sen. Tony

Fulton (Lincoln). The bill was adopted by the Legislature on May 29, 2009 by a vote of 40 to 5 and signed into law by the Governor

LB 594 would require abortionists to screen mothers for known risk factors that increase her likelihood of having post-abortion

complications (emotional, psychological and/or physical). Introducer: Sen. Cap Dierks (Ewing) This bill remains in Judiciary Committee

and will carry over to 2010 Legislative Session. Nebraska Catholic Conference supports LB 594.

LB 370 would require the Department of Health and Human Services to apply for a Medicaid waiver to provide coverage for family planning services for low income women with incomes of 185% of federal poverty guidelines. Introducer: Senator Danielle Nantkes (Lincoln)  This bill remains in the Health and Human Services Committee and will carry over to the 2010 Legislative Session.
